Thank you for thinking about adopting one of our wonderful dogs. Many people have given loving homes to members of our shelter family. We have adopted out over 82 dogs to Slovenia, Germany, United Kingdom, Austria, Italy, Belgium, Croatia, and, of course, Bosnia.
Have a look at our “Success Stories” page to see and learn about some of the fantastic happy-ever-afters.
Adopting from our shelter is probably easier than you think and you’ll find all the information you need here. Before adoption, all dogs are vaccinated, microchipped, treated for worms and fleas, and have their own passports. To help defer those costs, we ask for a donation fee from 250 Euros to 340 Euros (340 Euros for the UK) which includes adoption fee and transportation costs. As the transport costs do vary, we can help with fundraising for these costs if necessary.
There are three easy steps to adopting:
Take a look at the photos of the wonderful dogs below. When you’ve found one you’d like to know more about, fill out the contact form in the “Contact Us” section. One of our volunteers will be back in touch.
A home visit will then be arranged. You will be contacted to set up a convenient time for a home visit to come around and chat. This is vital in making sure that dog and home are a good match.
Following a successful home visit, we can start to make arrangements for transporting the dog from the shelter.
You will also be asked to sign a “Homing Contract” with us. If you have any questions before, during, or after the process, please get in touch and we will be happy to help.
